2010 Hangunner Wrap Up

The 2nd Annual Smith & Wesson Phoenix Handgunner Tribute match is history.

4 squads of shooters enjoyed a picture perfect day of sunshine and 80 degree temperature. They faced 8 stages of knock down steel, in the tradition of the American Handgunner match run so many years in Montrose, Colorado. The man on man shootoff format had many a shooter muttering under their breath, as they saw their opponent get to their stop plate first.

We were pleased to have in attendance the "Women of USPSA;" Julie Golob, Randi Rogers, and Lisa Munson. Nils Jonasson, 2010 USPSA Limited Class National Champion, lent his talent and prestige to our event, and the participation of Angus Hobdell, 4 time World Champion at the original Handgunner made for an interesting Grand Finale. Mark Hanish from team FNH, Anthony Luciani from Cameron Custom, and others made it a great match. We drew shooters from Tennessee, California, Montana and Washington state. The match is gaining momentum, and 2011 promises to be even better!

Thanks to the Women of USPSA, Michael Bane from "Shooting Gallery" on Outdoor Channel came to film. Watch for our match on TV, in an episode about the ladies.
